Roll Eyes WOW!  When "Boots" gave me this site address to have a look at, I could not have imagined how much information it would contain. Roll Eyes  My name is Derek Blake, (Pompeyite) I am very new here, I only joined yesterday. I have been a woodturner for about 12 years, and a pen turner for about 6 years. I am a member of the Forest of Bere Woodturners association, here in Portsmouth in the uk. We at present have about 90 members in our club.
Hobbies:  Woodturning, Pen Turning, Fretwork (Scroll sawing) and general woodworking.
Latest News:  Until January of this year I was the editor of my woodturning associations quarterly magazine, which I edited for 4 years. I am at present chair bound due to a recent operation on my leg, and Boots though it would do me good to join your illustrious band.  Thanks for letting me folks.
Regards Derek.

Welcome to this corner of the vortex.  If you have questions, ask, someone will come up with some kind of an answer.  Wink  Usually 2 or 3 correct ones.

We tend to have a lot of fun here, and we don't take ourselves too seriously.  The gallery and chat each require seperate registration, though it is recommended that you take the same user name so people know who you are.

Enjoy.   Grin

Hi everyone. Just wanted to introduce myself.

My name is Larry 'Moon' Mullins and I live in northern California, way up north.

I first turned in a woodworking class and fell in love.  I am just now getting the opportunity to take it up at home, and am excited to research the tools and equipment and learn to use it.

Still not sure what I'm going to be turning but look forward to the learning.
