Okay, I looked and looked and after I posted a hello post, THEN, I found the new guy thread.  Sorry for putting my very first post in the wrong place.  But now my post count is up to two and I can respond to my PM! Grin

Bill, you are the man.  It does not matter where you posted it.  I'm just glad to see you here on Woodturners Resource.  You get talked about a lot around these parts.  All good too.  We welcome you knowledge and background.  I look forward to having you around.

Welcome Bill.

I've just about hung up my tutu.  Night number 27 with at least 49 left to go before the end of this turnaround.  WOW!

Chuck, there is a story about Bill and a tutu

Chuck, it is an acceptable story.  At least, it made it past the moderators and owner of Wood Central a while ago.  A number of years ago, I was engaged in a good natured argument with my good friend Richard Tuttle about art.  (editorial note:  I had to change his name to Richard, since the editing software changed it for me to "thingy", and his name was NOT thingy!)  Richard was of the opinion that anything called art needed to be respected and even encouraged.  I said otherwise, stating there was a lot of bad art out there that did not deserve any respect.  Now, Richard and I had been having this argument for years, and we weren't getting anywhere with it.  So I brought out the "big guns", so to speak.  I wrote that if I put on a pink tutu and danced across the stage, it would be art, but no one would really want to see that.  I was wrong.  All my other "friends" started egging me on, and pretty soon, I just couldn't take it any longer.

SWMBO aided and abetted me in this quest.  I didn't have enough to do one night, so we surfed the web and found a picture of a cute little girl in a ballerina catalog.  We downloaded the picture, and took a picture of me in the same pose.  Then the hideous experimentation began.  SWMBO took our photo editing software, and exchanged my head for the poor little girl's.  Here is the result.
