Hey Chris, what will you do when "Stitchin-girl" reaches deity status?  Can't be god...  Goddess?

Unfortunately I can't separate the titles by gender, but Jeanne can have the honorary title of Goddess once she gets there... Wink

That's pretty hard core, Jeanne.  No matter, Phil doesn't eat too many brownies anyway.   8)

How can a really nice gal like Jeanne be so hard-nosed?  Award the man a point!

Send the brownies (not the points) to Jim and me. I like'um frosted w/chocolate ganache.

On the other hand, they'd be pretty stale by the time they reached Jim, just send'um all to me.

Welcome Jeanne. Have fun; we are.

Chris, I see that we are one person shy of 200 members. Are you planning a big, fly-in party for the one that signs up as #200? Steaks and champagne, or poi, blood pudding, and pop? Perhaps the others just lurk around and look without signing in, but it sure seems that out of 199 good folks, not very many are visibly active. It would be good to glimpse some fresh ideas and insights. Don’t get me wrong, I appreciate and have learned a lot from all you regular contributors, but there must be some great NEW and INTERESTING info out there just waiting for us to gather it in, and respond to it.
Frosted brownies would be good! Grin

Welcome Jeanne. You know if you hang out here to long you'll catch the bug and have to change your handle.

I knew that someone somewhere would turn this welcome string into a food line.  I like my brownies frosted too so I hope my DH reads this.  As for being hard-nosed about giving away the points, that one line was way too blatant and obvious a ploy to get on my good side.  If you guys want to be obvious, it should include candy and flowers and expensive presents, and lots and lots of compliments, not just one, with a plea for acknowledgment of it's obvious insincerity.

Oh yes, and Keith,  I can't be changing my handle.  I've been sewing for over 15 years, and I have two sewing machines, one embroidery machine (worth about 2 PM's when it was new) and a serger.  Not that I expect you guys to know what all those things are.  But the Woodcraft has a long way to go before I am willing to give up my 'other' hobby.  Besides, this way, I stand out in the crowd. Cheesy

Oh well, it was worth a try Grin.  At least I am not in the doghouse.  I guess a little more sincerity woud have been in order and maybe, just maybe I should have left off the last line asking if I scored the points eh?

I am shocked that my sincerity would be questioned! And it was two-pronged:  a "call to arms" to defend Philip, and...  Shoot, I forgot what the other prong was...I'll try to get to the flowers and candy later...

Now, to get back to the important thing in life:  food...
You guys have it all wrong regarding the brownies (the edible ones).  Your idea of a brownie with chocolate frosting was OK as far as it went, but it didn't go far enough.  You need to heat it, put it on a nice plate, put a generous scoop of very good quality vanilla ice cream on top, and then smother the whole thing with warm, SEMILL-SWEET chocolate sauce.  Finally, a single cherry finial...  Now that's a brownie!

Just checked the postings.  Actually ebudg came pretty close (but no cigar!).

Jim, I not sure I want a "cigaro Colombiano." Perhaps a nice "Panama" hat?
