I have a lot of Juniper in my shop that I would like to use up.  When I turn it it is a brilliant purple which I really like but over time it fades to a nondescript brown(boring)  I have tried diferent finishes which have UV protection but it always does the same thing.  Does anyone have a trick to keeping the purple colour?

What is your time frame for the fading to occur?
All of the juniper I have turned has stayed pretty much the same color. The finishes were Deft sanding  sealer and Min Wax paste wax, and some were just the paste wax.

It will help if you can keep it out of direct, or strong indirect, sunlight. That's not always easy or practical, but it will help.
