Have I missed something or is Chris on a sabbatical? I hope all is well.

Curt, the last I heard was that Chris had fallen and landed upon both knees on a concrete floor. He was in pain. I've heard nothing else.

It's possible that he may have done more damage than he thought. On the other hand, he may busy w/work search, turning, and fair, young, maidens.

I hadn't heard about Chris's injury, hope he's doing okay.  It's unlike him not to check in pretty often.

back in the saddle...

As happens sometimes, I've had alot of irons in the fire and after tossing a couple and losing a couple, then adding some new ones, I'm back in the saddle again.  Some big things are coming, one of the big irons involves some things to come for WR so stay tuned!

Glad you're back and all is well. I enjoy the daily dose of WR even when I'm too busy to turn or contribute. Good to read your voice again.

I think he has been sucked into that night world in LA we see on the TV and in the movies. You know the often protrayed dark underworld of turning...

The underground late night turning clubs where you can close the deal on the blackmarket turning materials, illeagal tools and illegal turning immigrants.

Soon he may be trading drugs for ebony and elephant tusk.  We need to break into the mass production turning sweat shop he has hidden under his LA apartment building and free him from this terrible chain of events cascading out of control, before it is too late.  Grin

It's probably just a cascading pile of sawdust, since he hasn't had time to clean up with all the irons in the fire. Grin

Ned, have you considered changing careers?  Maybe pulp novels?  Underground turners?  Blackmarket materials?  Wow, and I thought I was weird...

No need to answer that...

Not quite Ned, but sometimes I feel like I have that much going on!  Actually I went to Colorado for a few days to visit family and just got back yesterday.  There's a new female occupying my attention and I am getting things ready for 2 separate magazine articles that will be featuring my work, so things have been BUSY!

I have also been talking to Paulo Marin about the new tool company and it sounds like a pretty cool thing.  Hopefully I can get him to do an interview style article for WR soon so you'll all get a taste of what is in store for the new company CET and the future of Glaser tools.

I hope to have a cool little box turned so we can do a raffle for the annual hosting fees soon and Bud has graciously donated a nice hollow form to the raffle as well.  We should have 3 prizes this go round, so it should be fun.
