has anyone sent back a forrest blade for sharpenin

I put my blade into my aluminum fence. I don't see any chips or anything, but the cuts are definately not as good.
I am not sure how to package it to go back...box, etc

I don't think a padded envelope would be the best way.

Has anyone done this and what is your experience.

Ned, the Forrest folks ought to have an 800 number.  If you can't locate it, Woodcraft would probably have it.  They sell that brand.  Then give them a call and they will resolve all of your doubts.

Good luck,

Jim

I went to the Forrest site and it had all the info. I just packed it in a cardboard mailer (made out of a delivery box) and will send it out monday.

Ned, you are much busier than I.  Here's the Forrest company's number:  800-733-7111.

Thanks,
I printed their sharpening and repair form and packed it all up. I bookmarked the website for future reference. My big question was basically has anyone sent a saw blade through the mail and what is the best way to pack it? I decided to just make a mailer out of an old box. Seems pretty stable and safe. Smiley
