Tool rest for Midi

I've got a Midi with a 5/8" tool rest post.  Does anyone know if someone makes a S-curved bowl turning rest that will fit?

Jim, the company that made the lathe should have that type of rest.

You can also have a welding shop make one for you.

I don't think Delta makes one for the Midi.  Least I haven't been able to find one on their web site.

Jim, look on page 43 of the recent Woodcraft catalog. It appears that their tool rest system is available w/5/8" post.

Thanks, July catalog it is on page 75, but it looks like what I need.  And I am going going there tomorrow.

You have a safe trip. Remember me to all the tools I can't afford.

Try amazon.com as well. They have a ton of rests, sometimes with free shipping.  I picked up a bowl rest pretty cheap for mine that way.

Pennstate is the only other place I can think of with lots of smaller stuff.

Here is their link to toolrests.  5/8 8inch is 14 bucks, 12 inch 15 or both for 25.

S shaped is 21.

Hope this helps.

Just picked up post and curved rest at WoodCraft today on the way to the local turning club meeting.
