That was my first book too, spent the first 4 months between those pages and my HF lathe...ah, the good(?) ole days, seems like a lifetime ago.

Wasn't my first book, mine was actually a Raffan book, but it was in my first 3. I have quite a stack that I should reread more often than I do, I allways learn something from them.

yeah, come to think about it, it wasn't my first book either... i bought a book strictly about chessmen LONG before i got that book and video. It took me a little bit to find the video at a price i was willing to pay, and it came just days before my lathe. The book that goes with it was an afterthought... after watching the video, i realized it would be very helpful to have the written referances.
