Particularly for those of you who fell your own trees, Did you see where the retired Steelers player was killed when a 5' diameter tree he was felling, fell on him?  OUCH!!  That could totally ruin your day.  Or maybe this was just a simple case of Mother Nature protecting her own?

If you aren't trained in large tree removal, get help.

Amen! Even out here, where logging is a big part of the economy, one hears about people getting either killed or injured by falling trees, breaking yarding cables, log pile slips, etc.

Chainsaws are not toys either. They can take a heck of a chunk outa ya. A lota guys who've worked in the woods all their lives have chainsaw scars.

If you think you want to down a big tree get professional help. If you think you can do it by yourself you need professional help of another kind.
