Dust collection end at lathe

What are you using for a dust collection end at the lathe? Just the end of the hose?

My ideas at this point are:

large funnel head

cut off milk jug head

table say dust collection end

and how to make it movable?

arm from old lamp attached with duck tape?

just things I am thinking about after nap in motel, waiting for big game.

End of the 4" hose, held in place with a bungee cord..

You must have been to my shop. I have a 4" hose attached to an old movable floor lamp with duct tape. I have tried other ends but to me the end of the hose works best.

I use my DC mostly for sanding and on some finish turning if the wood does not come off in curls.
I just use the hose and a stand and hold it on with wire.

I built a setup from the 4" scoop attachment you put under table saws.  I have it hung behind my lathe on an adjustable arm from the ceiling.  I can pull it forward, close to the piece, or swing it back, out of the way.  Works great for small chips, sanding, etc.  I've always felt that large shavings should go to the floor.
