New Jet 1642 Lathe gloat... sorta.

Well the new Jet 1642 lathe arrived yesterday in the crate.

Last night I went to the local Lowes to get plugs and cord so I could hook it up to the existing 230V outlets in the shop.

This morning I assembled the lathe, plugged it in, and turned it on.

It's alive! Whoo hoo!

Ah well... it belongs to the club, but I might get access to it sometime. It's still exciting! We'll have it for the demo on Monday night!

Underdog-
I was all excited for you,  until the last sentence.  It sounds like kissing your (nots yours personally)  really attractive half-sister from your dad's 3 rd marriage....so close, yet so far away... Grin

Congrats to the club at least!

Some people wonder all their lives if they've made a difference. The Marines don't have that problem.
