This is a link to a sharpening video by Mike Mahoney
This in my book is a good learning video..pay attention about what he says about holding the tool by the shaft and not the handle while its against the wheel...it really does make a big difference in control ..I know, i tried it and made a noticeable difference.

hope it helps
Bob

note: krayon ...don't know if this is the way to get stuff on here so if u need to edit it or move it go ahead...just trying to throw in my 2 cents of help

Wow. I don't need a $300 Tormek, Jet, or JoolTool, and the extra shop space (and jig$) they might need?  Just my 1725 rmp dual-shaft motor and a couple wheels?

Now if I just knew a source for the nice, beefy tool rests in the Mahoney video, life would be sweet, indeed.
