B- Friction Polish Buildup

I have found that if I get too much friction polish buildup on a piece, streaks and lines appear and is definitely not attractive.  This may be due to excessive friction or just too much polish in a given area, or both.  Sandpaper clogs up too easily if you try to use it to level the surface.  Instead, use 0000 steel wool while the piece is spinning.  It will remove the high spots to blend with the low without removing all of the finish.  Then you can either leave it as a matte finish or apply another coat of polish to get the high gloss look.  Just remember, hold the steel wool with your thumb and index finger or some type of applicator. NEVER WRAP IT AROUND YOUR FINGER OR HAND WHILE APPLYING!!!
