Wheels what brand of buffing set did you get?
are you going to buff on the lathe or have a dedicated motor?
If a motor is it a 1725rpm or a 3650 rpm?

well tried out buffing wheels today learned a valueable lesson when you think youre done sanding sand some more and wow what and difference with only BLO  then buffed 

recon they are beal buffing wheels the quick change set and the 8 inch spindle extentsion eventhough i dont know the diff i think Im glad to have gatten the quick change set up instead of the three on a shaft jsut becuase of the closest of the wheels

The quick change is what I have and I think I want the extension.  But even without the extension, I'm so glad not to have gotten the 3 on a shaft.  Thanks to Phil who steered me away from that mistake.

That's right Chuck.  I'm using the motor that came out of an air handler we replaced at church.  Everything about it was perfect except the rotation direction.  Rewired according to the specs and perfection was achieved.  Built a stand, mounted my motor and now I have a buffing machine.  Yea!
