Carnauba/beeswax/silicone finish

Just wondering if anybody has tried this as a final finish on bare wood? I have topped some pens off with it but to me it feels like the pen is gonna slip out of my hand like a bar of soap. However I love this stuff for an occasional top coat on all my rifles. I especially use it when I go to the range & need the rifles to glide across the front rest on recoil. I doubt it is food safe but it sure makes things look/feel nice to the touch.

Looks like its some great stuff.  In fact, I've used some of it long ago in a restoration project that I did on an old 22 that I had.  However, it seems pretty expensive for a finish that you want to keep clear of anything that might or could possibly come into contact with anything that might go into a mouth.  I'm not worried about the waxes or the solvents that are in it to liquefy the solution.  What worries me is the silicone and it being ingested.  The worst part is the cost though.  I don't pay that much for DO finish which is still my favorite.
