Hi Can you tell me what do you finish the Ornamental turning with? All I can see if I use the wrong thing it will fill up all the crevices. What would you suggest?

Toni,
I think it would depend on what your turning like acrylic or wood. If wood I think you would just have to do it by hand & be careful after it dries I'm sure you could buff it to a nice sheen.

I have just put together my own rose engine(almost).Tomorrow I am making the cams and hopefully will have something made by next weekend. The only finish that I have seen on an engine turning was brushed on laquer and buffed with a pom pom on a dremel. This is what I am planning.Just to play it safe however I will not make my first turnings  too elaborate at first, then work my way up.I wish you well as I know what the anticipation is like to be finally able to do something like this.Take care and have fun,Ed.
