Leo,
J'avais l'habitude de parler français quand j'étais jeune mais mon parler arrêté par mère nous en français ainsi moi a oublié comment le parler.

That is quite common, my mom and MIL lost their first language from lack of use.

Ron,
It is sad since all 53 uncles & aunts & grandparents spoke French but my Dad lost it early so my Mom stopped talking to us in French  Cry

Leo,

Well, for Stu in Tokyo's enjoyment...

これは非常に悪い例を日本語に翻訳します。

In my day job, my work gets translated into French, German, Italian, Spanish, Japanese, Russian, Simplified Chinese, and Traditional Chinese. I can barely understand the English version (and I write that part fer cryin' out loud), but I still have to take the translated text and reassemble it into various User Manuals and Help systems. The European languages (except Russian) are not too bad...I can almost understand parts of it, but the Asian and Russian stuff gives me headaches. Try proof-reading Chinese for a day and you'll see what I mean.  Shocked

Yep, its all good.
They all fed me as a kid and now I give them a place to stay when the big winds blow.
I will put the debonder in my back pocket.
