Should I buff with all three types of buffing compound after I applied tung Oil? Or just with wax?

Depends on how smooth the finish is.

I start with white diamond then go to a higher grit.  I'm not even sure what the higher grit is called. I get it at lowes, it's green and has a #6 on it.

I have been doing tung/danish oil finishes and using all 3 buffing stages.  Just let the oil cure (3-5 days) and then buff away.

Yeah, I agree with Jeff.  I have done several peppermills that I have applied Danish Polish and after waiting for at least 72 hours they buff up great with the Beal process.  This is a link to one set of peppermills that I made from Cherry with a Danish Cherry oil finish followed by the Beal system, Multimedia File Viewing and Clickable Links are available for Registered Members only!!  You need to Login or Register

Just don't use the white diamond on walnut(or other dark open grained wood) It will fill the pores with the white dust and will be tough to get off...Bill...
