Look in the banner above

Locate "Tutorials, Projects & Tips" and click on that. Then click on "Shop Projects" then "Turning Tools", then scroll down to locate the file.

The reason I don't give a direct link is there are over 150 very informative files linked in the TPT.  Chances are that along the way you might find something else that might interest you. Sometimes the journey is half the fun.

Good tutorial -- but to reduce runout, one could use a 3/8 MT collet and mount the rod directly into the headstock.  It still requires a drawbolt for secure attachment, but avoids problems, especially with the lower cost (cheap) drill press style chucks.    Little Machine Shop and others sell these for about $10-$12  and a set of 7 sizes costs about $60.

These collets share with the drill chuck, the lack of being able to feed stock through the headstock -- You want that, you have to go to the threaded mounted collet chucks like the Beall or others.
