Excellent story George, your piece has become a special family heirloom - how good is that?

How nice George! Your creation will be passed down through generations. How rewarding is that?

Sorry to talk about myself on this thread, but I'm so happy I could just scream and had to tell somebody (I live alone, and my dog isn't a good listener). I DID get accepted yesterday into a VERY high end gallery (Cedar Creek Gallery) here in NC yesterday! Kind of a long process, as they're quite thorough, but they want a bunch of my stuff and buy it on the spot and sell it for what they want to. Usually double. Three weeks ago no one had ever seen my stuff, so this is very exciting!
Thanks guys, Don L.

Great news.  If I was off I'd pop a cold one in your honor.

Leo, Brendan, Chuck....you guys (and everyone else) are too much. Can't tell you how much those encouraging words mean. This is some great bunch of guys (and girls) we have here. Proud to be among you all!!!!
Looks like after tonight I'll be a BALD wood turner. It's clumping out now, so might as well have the neighbor just get rid of it (shave job). Should be a pretty weird sight, but heck, I'm a low maintenance kind of guy anyway. Maybe I should post some photos!?
Anyway, thanks again for all your great comments. By the way, I'm feeling great overall, and chemo hasn't stopped me from doing anything yet. Heck, I've got orders to fill, I better get my butt back on the Powermatic!
Take care folks, Don

Glad to see you're still feeling great despite the treatments.  smiley=thumbsup.gif May things continue to go well for you.

Ya know, this is your chance to have that Mohawk hairstyle you've always wanted.  Grin

Don,

For some reason my forehead has grown back into my hair, I don't consider myself 'shaved' when I get a Number 2 cut, I prefer to refer to myself as 'aerodynamic'.

My favorite sale is the one yet to happen where my upcoming favorite piece is sold to someone who truly appreciates its beauty and parts with their hard earned money at a fair price for it......
Now back to reality I have to go with the others and say my last one.
