Compressed air, vacuums, brushes,......hmmmpff.
I just step outside and dive into the pool and let the pool skimmer clean up the wood chips. A little bit brisk in winter, but hey we're MEN right!

Pocket flaps are a must. My favorite woodworking apron has the convenient pockets that get dutifully full of chips each time I turn.

Since I was welding for awhile and decided to stop, I still had my welding smock.  Works great for turning except I have to put a rubber band around the cuff so it isn't loose.

Under Armour tee shirts are the best thing I found for turning.  The chips does not stick to it and the collar is tight enough to stop chips from falling down my neck.

Where do you get these, never heard of em
Smiley

LOL you can get under armour any where. espesially Wal-Mart or a good sports store. Smiley

If it is any help, Under Armour just opened an outlet store in Anthem, AZ.  About 25 miles north of Phoenix.   Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Cool Cool

Did it turn out to be a Straitjacket? Best lightweight body armor I know is made for motocross and off rad motorcycle racers.

Hey, I hear ya about the shavings sticking to your fur. Have the same problem.  If your wife has a pattern for the smock, would it be possible to buy a copy or something.
Just getting started in the wood turning thing.  Sure making a lot of chips and enjoying it. Smiley

I normally just brush the chippings off with a razer sharp machete, works very well and turns it into saw dust in the process, we're tough on the Devils island you know. Angry

I wear mine upside down, to stop pockets filling up with shavings. smiley=shake head.gif

Is this under armor below your over shoulder ????.  Cheesy

Sorry the pills are wearing off !!!!!!!! Shocked

ALSO WHERE'S THE SMOCK PIC ??????? Huh

I think video evidence would be a reasonable request here.

I whizzed through it hoping to see ears and noses and lips falling to the floor but I was hugely disappointed.

If you did turning in the nude...ahhh never mind!

Just invested $315 in a Jet 1100 cfm dust collector, on wheels.

Best investment EVER. Made a hood for the lathe (and other shop tools), no dust!
