My annual show
Sep 27th, 2009 at 6:42pm

Had my annual show at Western Carolina U,yesterday (Sat) My 4th yr and to say it was the worst would be an understatement.Only made about 400.bucks.I usually make about a 1000.00,but they had to change the setup location from a large field because of the rain we have had for almost two weeks straight,to blacktop roads around the campus.Except for about two hrs,it rained all day,(downpoor)BUT the good news is that my 49.00 Quest canopy never leaked a drop. The only good side of the day.Saw one blow over and a lot of folks with tarps over there work because of leaks. One bad show out of 4 ain't to bad I guess.  Smiley

Hey, $400 is WAY better than my worst show.  You're gonna have to try harder than that for a worst show.

Congrats on surviving the deluge and keeping your stuff dry.  smiley=thumbsup.gif

Ken, $400 isn't that bad for a show... and bad weather makes them less fun...
I did a show in AZ in 91 or 92... The wind turned my tent inside out litterally (20' sq marquee) After a 2000 mile trip each way and all the expenses that go with those kind of shows I still turned a profit... $37... Fortunately, I don't think I have had many shows that I lost money on.
It is a dice roll every time and personally a profit is a success, just some times the successes are smaller then others...
congrats... you made money.. Smiley
