It seems that a lot of us are lucky enough to have a wife who takes some degree of interest in our obsession with turning. My sweetheart and I spend many Sundays running the back roads looking for turnable wood.
From time to time she will confiscate a finished piece, but it's worth it to have her interested in the vortex

My wife will actually look at the wood with me and help me "read" it while I am turning it. Cant get her to cut blanks with the chain saw yet though...but yes it is the best when they show an interest!!!!!!!!!

I wonder who's address this is...

Aghacommon
Craigavon
N. Ireland

I don't think one rolling pen would cost that much to ship either... hehehe I got two left and sense I'll be putting the grizzly back together Wed, that mean's I can start making more of em too and I got 7 blanks already cut to size just waiting to be turned.

Congrats on finding a woman who will both put up with a wood turner, and help find wood.

I do find the marginal cost of keeping her properly rewarded for her efforts does cost more than the value of the wood, but much of that goes into what economists call "sunk costs" that I would pay one way or another.

Besides -- it is all about the thrill of the chase -- and that birch looks promising.

Wizz,
You shouldn't put Bre's whole address on the forum they got comp bots who look for things like that.
