A pecan tree is being cut down at my MIL. I have herd this stuff is notorius for cracking. Would it be worth a trip to vist the MIL?

Yea, go ahead and visit your MIL, then package up several boxes of it and send it to everyone of us at WR!!!!!!

I will gladly put up with its shortcomings!

You better get it, to bad you don't live close to me, I'd help ya load it into my truck. About the only thing I don't like about pecan is all the worm poo, but if you got an air compressor and some dental tool... your good to go!  smiley=thumbsup.gif smiley=thumbsup.gif smiley=thumbsup.gif

Pecan is great. To me, it turns a lot like mesquite. Worm poo and all, but he is right, a good little dental pick and it is no big deal. Really looks great when it is finished.
