I just picked up some tools at an estate sale, for just less than $100. A 1 1/4" Raffan scraper, 1/2" P&N bowl gouge, a 3/8 Sorby spindle gouge, Versa-jig, a double ended caliper, and a vernier caliper.
The obvious  down side is that being an estate sale a fellow turner passed away. I was privileged to be shown a large display of his work, and can only hope that his spirit will help guide those tools to make me half the turner he was.

Did you have to shave the hair off of that "Tool Goat" before you used them?

Good sentiment.  Amen.

Hi Don,

I am sure he would be happy to know that they went to someone who would use them. I know I would be.

Best wishes,

Dave

Wizzy's got a whole lot of facial hair not much left on top so he's probably not a good candidate for you needing a old goat.  Grin
