New Turner

I am stuck in Ohio with a long cold winter monthes ahead of me. I pick up a 12" craftsman Lathe from a local cabinet shop in Novemebr and have been itching to turn square wood round.  I have been woodworking and selling items a for Presentsa and sale at a couple craft shows each year. My main hobby is waterfowl hunting and would like to make my own call. Santa Claus brought me a set of lathe tools from your sponsor the craft supply USA. So I am ready to turn a real object. If there are some good learning projects i could do please let me know.

Welcome to the family Ron.  they tells me we have a couple of rules so,

1. no picture, it did not happen.
2. only stupid question is the one that was never asked.

don't forget to register over in the gallery, we would love to see your work.

Welcome, and have a great time. smiley=thumbsup.gif smiley=thumbsup.gif

Ron, Hutt sell a pretty wide range of call kits and all the needed pieces and parts to complete them.  I'm pretty sure they are listed in the Vendors & Resources tab at the top of the page.
