Woodturning in retirement in the Sonoran desert - aka Arizona. I've tried turning about everything I can think of except pens; bit of a bigot there, I expect. I moved here with 70 boxes of exotic woods I collected mainly to turn miniatures, but I'd probably have to live longer than Methuselah to turn it all that way, so I'm back to doing things both large and small, segmented (somewhat) and plain. Have visited a lot of forums over the years, both as a member and a lurker, and I find this one to have more action than any of the others. So here I am. I will try to contribute as much as I learn, but expect that will be difficult.

BTW - the avatar is a picture of a vase made from Rose Bush Root and Imbuia which I gave the unlikely name of South Wind; the fact that it may be a dead ringer for me is strictly serendipitous.

Welcome Frank.  I have been eyeballing that rose bush root.  Some of the places around here may be missing a couple of rose bushes in the near future.

Lived on your side of the corner for 30 years - moved down here to cool off.
