Bre,
I can drive through the whole width of the state in about 45 minutes.  Grin so it's more like a 1/3 of a state

Brian,
to dang many undercover state police cars. also $10 for every mile over the speed limit helps keep the speed down.

That's cheap, a friend of ours that works with mama was doing 65 in a 55 and got a $450 ticket on her way to work last week, it'd be only a 100 bucks up their where you are if its only 10 bucks per mile... hehehe

Wait till I see her, I'm gonna tell her this and she'll tell me to... never mind, this is a family sight, I'll shut up now... hehehe

Wizz,
You forget all the extras. Court costs, admin costs, taxes etc...

The best speeding detection story I know is about my aunt who was caught THREE times in the space of ONE MILE in Edmonton, Alberta.  Apparently the police noticed that people were so angry about being caught for speeding they tended to roar off and forget to keep their speed down so they set up multiple traps.

My dad was stopped for going 2mph  over the 25mph speed limit, it cost him about $100

Last summer I was stopped doing 147.5km/h in a 100 zone...

(I know I know...)

The officer said "You realize that at 150 your car gets seized?"

I said, "That's why I was going 147 and a half..."

At least I gave him a chuckle while he wrote out the ticket.  Embarrassed
