Greetings from Salt Lake City
Jul 26th, 2010 at 10:52am

Greetings! My name is Ryan Jackson, and I have been turning for about four years. I use a Jet 1442LS lathe and really like it. My favorite tool is the flat skew, and my favorite finish is beeswax/cooking oil or beeswax/boiled linseed oil. Baby rattles are my favorite thing to turn.
My real job is an electrical inspector in the Salt Lake City area, I also teach seminars and write/edit books on the National Electrical Code.
Its good to be here with all of you!

I don't know that I would go that far! My wife says the only things I am an expert at are sleeping and watching football.

welcome to the family Ryan. smiley=beer.gif smiley=beer.gif

2 rules:

1.  no pictures, it did not happen.  we love pictures.  don't forget to register in the gallery.  separate software so you can use the sane name and password.

2. the only dumb question is the one not asked.  so ask away.

As opposed to the insane name and password?

Yea! No more burnt out motors, but I'll miss those pretty blue sparks.
