8?  Is that all who want to participate in the wood exchange?  We had 18 to guess when we might hit the 100,000 mark.  Now only 8 want to play our game of exchange?  You have until tomorrow morning to get your information to me via PM.  I've got to go to bed a little earlier than normal so you reap the reward of extra time.

Don't waste another minute!  Send me a PM with your name, address, wood you're most likely to send, any wood allergies you might have.

I will cut off the entries and draw names tomorrow morning.  Get that information to me and let the fun begin.

BTW, I'll let you know what the twist that I mentioned earlier in the thread is when I close the entries.  I'll give you a hint:  we've talked about it for years here on WR but have never done it.  Now we will.  I'm so excited.

Sadly, I just don't have any wood to send. Everything I've made so far has been from construction cut-offs that a friend is bringing me. Embarrassed It's mostly 2x4s and beam cut-offs.

I've been watching for flotsam on the sides of the roads, and keeping an eye open for any local trees that come down. Hopefully, I'll have some decent specimens for the next trade.  Wink

Sorry for the hold up.  I haven't forgotten you yet.  It really is coming.  I've just gotten tied up with life today.  The work must go on.  The delay just adds to the anticipation.  Are you getting nervous?  Excited?  Look for pairings to be posted soon.  Good night for now.

I know, I know.  I am so late with this.  Big day Satruday, Sunday and again today.  We did have two more players join in the fun though.  So, here is the list.

Rev. Doug Miller
Jim Quarles
Kathy Marshall
Walt Nollan
Kevin Stanbary
Cathy Schaewe
David Seaba
Ron Sardo
Scott Wheeler
Dale      Gillaspy

All of you should have received a PM from me by now.  In it you have the person you are sending wood to.  You also now know the twist.  Get your wood in the mail ASAP so that the recipient will have as much time as possible to get their work done.

Each of you also have a second address to which you will send that completed piece.  There are no guide lines on the piece that you will turn.  You simply do your best.  The point is to turn a piece for someone else.  You will also receive a turn piece.  This way, each of us not only gets to turn a piece of wood that we don't usually, but we'll get a piece from another turner for our Rogue's Gallery.  The way I look at it, Christmas done come twice and not a flake of snow on the ground.

Rule 1:  Have fun
Rule 2:  Enjoy the process
Rule 3:  Stick to the dead lines (the hardest for me for some reason)

This is going to be fun!

Kevin, either of the two medium boxes has been our tradition.  I think they are $10.75 to mail out unless you do your postage online.  Saves you about $.50.  Clear as mud?
