I made the thinnest turning I ever did yesterday out of spalted Beech and I was really thrilled. Then I decided to give it a wee extra polish by hand (you know where this is going!) and, like a wet bar of soap, it shot out of my hands and bounced out the shop door and along the tarmac driveway. It is still is one piece but with added 'character' now.

LOL, I need to learn to read! I've been frantically trying to get ornaments done between funerals (4 this week and 2 more tomorrow and Monday) and just managed to get one finished and ready to glue (brought the parts in to warm up) a few minutes ago. I jumped on here to make sure I would hit the deadline tonight and realised the deadline was the date the gallery opened. Kinda relieved now so I'm going to try to make a few better ornaments. I'm trying something new so more time to learn about the material is good.

I've got 18 addresses, and one who said they were in (Andy) but never PM'ed their address. So far we have 5 completed ornaments posted. You have 4 more days left to finish your ornament and post the picture.

If you didn't sign up and now decide you want to participate, go back and read the rules in the first post of this thread. There is still time to turn an ornament and post its picture in the 2010 Christmas Ornaments C&T gallery. Pictures need to be posted by Midnight, Saturday, and I need your mailing address PM'ed to me.
