ATTENTION! ALL MEMBERS, NEW AND LONG TERM ALIKE!

Woodturners Resource has arrived at a very important milestone: WE NOW HAVE 3000 REGISTERED MEMBERS.

As most of you know, we will have a wood trade to celebrate this occasion. Many of you have already signed on for this trade. Congratulations, all you have left to do is wait to see who you are sending wood to. For the rest of you, if you want to be in on all this fun, send me your mailing address, the wood(s) you're going to send, and any wood allergies you may have.

You will be sending and receiving the medium sized flat rate boxes from the USPS. A few have asked to trade the larger boxes. If you would like to send a large box, let me know that too.

Sorry, but because of governmental regulations and high costs of shipping outside of the US, we must restrict this event to those members who live in the boundaries of the USA. Even for us who are in the US and participating, we need to be careful. PLEASE! Take the time to remove all bark possible. There are many critters that love to live just under the bark. Your removal of the bark will make great strides to reduce the trans-location of those pests to other parts of the country.

So, get your information in to me via PM ASAP. Cut-off to sign up will be Friday night, 1/28, at 11:30 PM. I will have the address for you to send your wood to in your inbox early Saturday morning. You should be able to get your box into the Post Office by Wednesday, 2/2, at the latest. By staying in country, I would suspect that all wood should arrive at its intended location no later than Saturday, 2/5.

I'm getting excited. Hope you are too. Let the fun begin!

By now you all should have received PM's alerting you to who you are to send your box of wood to. If you have any questions, feel free to ask. I know I made one mistake saying that one person was to send a medium sized box when they clearly said they would send a large box. That correction was made. However, it is entirely possible that other mistakes were made.

Get your boxes out in the 2-3 days. As you begin to receive boxes in the mail, lets be sure to post in this thread who from and what you received. I'll keep track and send reminders if someone falls behind. I doubt that will happen though.

Looking forward to hearing what you get and then what you eventually do with the wood you get. I love this stuff. Hope you do too. Have fun!
