OK, somebody asked about how I turned spatulas. I feel a bit unqualified to explain anything on this board with so many experts, but here are pictures and I hope explainations of how I do this: (I think this will take two posts)

I've made a couple and that is pretty much how I did mine. The only difference is I used an orbital palm sander to finish the paddle. Very nice work!

Some day I might replace them with my own and have a good idea of where to start thanks to your tutorial. and pics.Pics are very helpful for people like me. I would guess spoons would be made in a similar way.
