andylasslett Active Member Offline I LOVE WR!!! Posts: 185 Gillette Wyoming USA Gender:	Bowl Calipers Mar 18^th, 2011 at 6:37am Im starting to think Im gonna make my own bowl thickness calipers. Anyone know of any patterns I could use. I m pretty sure I can come up with on my own but laziness is getting the best of me.

I bought a double-ended caliper, but I find myself using a piece of heavy wire bent into an 'almost' circle more than the caliper. Just slide the wire down the side with one end 'dragging' and watch the clearance on the other leg. I think I got the idea from Ellsworth's book.
