Even though the trade is over (or at least in progress), I'm not quite done with the challenge part.  Someone in my AAW chapter brought a bunch of branches, free for the taking this week, so I picked up several more to do some more oblong natural edge shapes/bowls.  Yay!

Carrie, That is the purpose of the Challenge. Once you try something, you may find that it is an enjoyable style to make. I just got some Pecan branches. I want to see if they turn better than the others. Carrie on! Wink Wink

Good on ya Carrie! I'm still at the sponge stage where I try almost everything I see. Some things I don't do so well at but I keep them in the back of my mind to try again when I feel better about my skill level. I even keep some of the not so good ones to remind me of projects I'd like to perfect.

With all the different styles, I can't see how anyone can get bored turning.

Keep up the good work. It is always fun to see what you make.

Jim, yours is in the mail! Somehow "Air Mail" to the US still takes 9-10 days, which is odd since I can drive to the border in about an hour or so...

I guess they must use a bunch of string and handful of swallows to send packages by air.

No problem, you saw what Chuck's friends said about the air mail to the Canary Islands.

Just got home from running errands and found a box on the porch!
It was from Edward Weber, extremely well packed and contained a beautiful NE bowl. His gallery picture looks great, but this is even better in person!

Thanks Edward! Great job!

I had a package in the mail Saturday from Ms. Kathy.  A real beauty of a pecan bowl.  Very well done.  Not sure what you were complaining about.  I love it.
