it is 96 degrees here and to hot to turn in my garage.

I wish it were that cool here.  We hit that before 10am, and at noon we were at 105°.

Got my box from Bill Schoppert.  It was packed full of wood we don't see in AZ.  Madrone, Alder, Big Leaf Maple, & Atlas Cedar.

Thanks Bill.

Well darn it--scheduling a pickup with the USPS didn't work for me.  The package was still on the porch when I got home this evening, so it will have to go to the post office tomorrow instead.

You are welcome Jim. Hope you can make a lot of beautiful things from the wood. I threw in those two peices of purple heart for good measure.

I got my package today from David Seaba.  This is so fun!  It was filled with a great variety of wood including Maple, Walnut, Osage Orange, Coffee Bean, Butternut and a bunch of exotics--Cocobolo, Zebra wood, Ebony, Purpleheart and Padauk.  He also threw in a couple of pen kits, so I might just have to make my first pen one of these days Smiley

I got my package from David Seaba yesterday!
Full of all kinds of stuff, and yes some pen kits too!
Jim You'll hafta come over again andwalk me through some pens!

I sent mine out today.

I had a mishap on the bandsaw on Tuesday cutting some blanks up. A moment of stupidity actually. smiley=shake head.gif  bang head
3 stitches in my right pinkie. Cut right in on the outside of my finger just along the nail. I had just shut the saw off but didn't wait for it to stop before swiping at some dust on the table.

The good thing is, it didn't get the nail or bone and I can tell you,
it'll never happen again!

A moment of carelessness which couild've been much worse.

Everyone has my permission to comment and say everything that should be said so fire away!
