Really interesting Turning Idea

I got this link from my local guild email list.  It's pretty amazing, how this turner uses wax to fill in voids to allow him to turn objects from material that would normally be too fragile to turn.

this just shows that nothing is impossible. there is always a way, if one just wants to look for it.

i have not heard anyone use "stifle it" since Archie told it to Edith. Grin

I love a video that gets the gray matter between my ears to working. Thank you for sharing.

Very cool indeed, just goes to show that the mind is a terrible thing to waste, but in his case, he has gone way beyond the saying... "think out side of the box" and nothing is impossible when you put your mind to it, thanks for posting it Carrie! thumbsup

That is really cool. I'll maybe have to try that one out. I think winter would be a good time. Right now, with temps pushing 100, I don't think the wax would hold all that well.

Once again we are shown you don't have to have 300 lb logs to enjoy wood turning.  Very neat.

I was of the impression that software developers (computer nerds) and woodturners (turnerds) were two very different breeds. I guess they (i.e., WE) have much more in common than I thought!!!
