My Shop Pic

Hello folks,
New to the WR. I have learned a lot from all the post. The photos are great.  dankk2  So here are some pic of my shop. It's my 12 X 38 man cave. Every thing has to be mobile except my lath. Went shopping with wife today and hinted that my drill press was used when I got it and it will not drill true. I hope one fits under the tree. I use a rikon mini lath from WC. I 'm still turning pens. With all the post here I will start turning bowls soon.  And yes that is my flat screen.

Very cool.  Nice and tidy.  Looks to me like you need to get busy and make some shavings.

Looks good.  If that is a VCR or DVD player under the TV, better wrap it in plastic.  The dust will destroy the heads on either one.

Oh sweet, I see a shop lounge.. too bad there is not enough room in there for a Lazy Boy chair and a little cooler, cause that would just set it all off. I really don't mean to get personal, but that is one shop that looks like it might be shop/doghouse cross, it sure is a nice place to spend some time, thanks for sharing! thumbsup thumbsup

She's just about two hours north west of me. Kinda in the foothills of the SC mountains area, just alittle south of Clemson, SC, real close to Hartwell Lake.

Oh... nice shop you have their. thumbsup

Sorry I have not been able to respond sooner. I found out we will have to move next door in a bigger house and a bigger shop. as you can see in the pic. I have a lot of work to do. The new shop is 24X22 and it use to be a dog kennel. Yes that is a jack hammer. I get to start from scratch. Will keep the updates comming as I will have to put my turning on hold. Thanks for all the comments on my present shop. I live in Townville,S.C. next to Hartwell Lake.

Louis,
Congrats on the bigger house & shop. I bet the wife is happy about that. Why do you have to move?

Landladty will be 94 saturday, and my wife is her caergiver. Even though my wife stay's with her she wants her to be in this 10 room 3000sq ft. That is why I get all the extras for my shop being by my self all the time (flat screen) My Landlady get's her way. She is paying for every thing so I will have a shop .

Yes Dirk, it is a shop /doghouse. This past August My wife fell off a ladder. Our DR. told her she just pulled somthing. She took our back home to CA. She had 2 surgary's and spent 3 months there. when she got back her mood swings were as big as TEXAS. I spent a lot of time hiding. They got it under control and life is better.

Louis,
Like the old adage goes "If momma ain't happy nobodies happy" keep momma happy & you'll stay out of the dog house. Now if I can only learn to do this myself.  Grin  You got room for a border for when My wife sends me to the dog house???  we don't have a dog house.  Embarrassed

My wife takes care of our land lady. She will be 94 this saturday. The new house was her mothers and it became vacant this Aug. So she wants my wife to live closer to her. Even do she stays with her. The house that we are in now is next door. It's bad when you have to move 1000 Yards. But the shop will be bigger Grin Shocked

Very cool, not that you have to move but that you get a bigger house and shop in the deal.  Sounds like you guys are doing a good job for this lady.  Keep up the good work.
