In memorium

I don't know if this is the right place for this so please forgive me if not, but here goes.  To fellow woodturner's in the forum, It is with deep sadness that I must announce the passing of one of our members, and one of my "buddies" I met on this forum.  Bob Hampton of Oregon, Passed away just before thanksgiving.  He was found in his trailer by family members.
I first met Bob on this forum and didn't know how to react to actually hearing him on the other end of the phoneline, when he first contacted me.  I've know him for a few years, and in that time, he's been my mentor, providing me with countless advice & techniques that improved my turning.  He will be sadly missed by me as well as other's he's touched.  R.I.P. my buddy.  I hope you find peace in the afterlife.

Some of you longer term members may remember Bob as "grybeard."  He will be missed.  RIP Bob.

I knew Bob probably better'n anyone here. He used to live Charleston, OR about 80 miles West of me. We'd get together every-so-often. He was a good friend.

Bob had heart trouble for several years. He had to quit driving semis w/his nephew 3-4 years ago. I talked w/him on the 20th of Nov. He said he was doing ok.
