My Humble Shop

A little video for your viewing amusement...
My humble shop, only 12x8
No Band saw...yet
No Sander...yet
No Radial arm saw...yet
You get the point, everything has to be done by hand, which I am used to
The mini-lathe is a Mastercraft which rev's up to about 3700rpm without a load
It works fine for now, I do believe I will want something with more power and a longer bed eventually
You got to start somewhere

I should mention the video was taken with a HP Digital camera so the quality is not the best

Very good use of space. Mine is more compact than yours I even use the ceiling joists to hold my pen blanks.

Loved your little video.  Very well done and some great music.  Not sure I've heard a classical rendition of Hotel California before.  I'd like to hear more of it though.

That is one song I NEVER want to hear again.  Grin  They played it way overboard when it came out & I got sick of hearing it.

I was wondering if that was what I was hearing.  Had to be a Uke or a classical guitar with nylon strings.

Well I'm going to have to use my imagination on this one. The video doesn't seem to exist anymore, but a cute video of a dog trying to burry fish. Sounds like the beginning of a nice small shop. And I'm very glad to see that someone else has the master craft mini lathe like me. That just made my whole day. Just make sure not to put too much tension on those plastic handles. How do you like it? I would love to hear from someone with the same lathe.
