I really like the rocker!! My rest station is my father's old kitchen chair. No on e wanted it and I could not get rid of it so now that I am old I use it. Jack do you have a bowl of peanuts or something? That is the ultimate thinking station, Chair + peanuts smiley=thumbsup.gif smiley=thumbsup.gif

No peanuts, but plenty of flavored water. Smiley

I was going to ask if the favoring was hops and Barley but figured it was none of my business. What happens in the man cave stays in the man cave.

I had a nice rest area like that.  It was a recliner from the living room.  It just seemed to collect stuff and I could barely use it.  So I put it out at the road figuring somebody would take it.  The next day all I found was the left arm rest and the chair back.  Tire tracks in the lawn showed someone took carefull aim.  Never found the rest of the chair.

Lol Jack, I was thinking of the old red truck we have when I wrote that. Since that, truck looks as redneck as a truck can.

Talking about cherished tools my father passed away in 2000. Just before the cancer had restricted him to a wheel chair. He called me to his shop and handed me a drawknife, brace bit, jackplane, and hatchet. He told me now I can build anything in the world.

Later my grandmother told me those are the same tools her grandfather used to build his home in North Carolina, many years ago. What my father did was pass the family torch, something I did not realize until a few years later.

I do cherish those tools, and use them to build memories with my son. On each project we do together we find we fall back to one of the tools at some point in the project.

A son never misses his father until he is gone.

Amen to that Don! The more we talk, the more we have in common, the home my Great Grandfather x 7 built in North Carolina in Carabus County is still standing and being lived in.
