Band saw boxes
02/24/12 at 20:23:22

Here are a few of the band saw boxes I used to make before the turning bug took hold. Now my band saw is set up for cutting out turning blanks for Bowls. I had just started making the hidden drawer in the back of a larger drawer when I decided to TURN-TURN-TURN

Nice job on the boxes, fun, aren't they!

(Well, maybe not quite as much fun as turning, but still...)

Don you hit the nail on the head not as much fun as turning, I loved having the finished band saw boxes, but they were an effort to finish. Turning seems to fit my personality so well that these other things are just not as attractive to me anymore. The music boxes I still get pressure to make but my mahogony supply is getting low so I think I will just Keep Turning

John I can't imagine the wonderful wood you must be able to get over there. Of course the name Tasmania brings up thoughts of exotic woods everywhere in my mind. Glad to hear I have a compadre over there. Just keep turning.

Very nice work, Breck. I never did understand why they call them "bandsaw" boxes, though. All the ones I've made have been more like "sanding" boxes.  Doh!
