Just got my new saw setup.  It seems to take 5 to 10 seconds to come up to speed.  Is this normal?  Works well when it gets up to speed.

I think mine also takes about 5 seconds. I can only use the lower speed if I go to the high speed it blows the breaker. I'm running a new line to the breaker for it.

Larry,

I'm running mine on 120V right now and it does the sme thing.

Make sure you clean the dust etc out of the lower wheel area frequently, the dust removal port has a baffel over it and does not allow the dust etc to escape through the port as easily as it should.

Had mine for a few months now and don't know how I worked without it! beer

Thanks good to know.  I had mine on a surge protecter power strip rated for 15Amps and it blew that.  I have 20 amp circuits in the shop so it works.  I can wire for 220.  I wonder if it would start faster on 220 or is it just the motor.  Saw works great however.  I am back to making blanks round again instead of using a chain saw.

Any mass will take time to get up to speed. My BS takes about 20-30 seconds before I can start. 110v, 15A circuit. Glenn J.
