I was thinking about you when I saw the e-mail about that one. Regardless of where you got it, congrats on a great haul! Now all you have to do is build a box to stand on while you're using it.

@Vaughn, yep, that's the one. I know, I need to build a platform... the headstock center is about eye level for me right now. Oh well, a small price to pay for a great score. Just looked through the box of other bits that came with it... I don't even know what a couple of them are, but it was certainly a bargain for just the lathe, not to mention everything else. Grin

I think you will find that turning small objects on that will be quite enjoyable. I notice a difference in vibration (noticably less) with the big lathe. I think it has to do with the mass of cast iron.
