Gilded Hollow form (Read 560 times)

Dale Gillaspy WR Supporter Offline Turning Designer Firewood Posts: 1114 Gender:	Gilded Hollow form 06/09/12 at 07:30:45 This is a hollow form about 9" tall and 6" wide. Gilded with Dutch Metal (imitation gold) and patina'd with Barium Sulfide and Sodium Sulfide. It is not exactly how I had hoped it would turn out. I was hoping the subtle music notes wouldn't have been so subtle

The notes are from a metal template that we used to use in older theater lights to project an image onto the stage before digital projection came along.

Dale Gillaspy WR Supporter Offline Turning Designer Firewood Posts: 1114 Gender:	Re: Gilded Hollow form Reply #14 - 06/10/12 at 05:00:40 No Chuck, the pieces was painted black, and a piece of stamped metal put down before I put the leaf on to block the notes out. When the metal was lifted off, the black showed through.
