Sorry, but not me.  Never did get time to get back into the shop.  Next one for sure.

BTW, Jim you've crossed the 10000 post level.  Congratulations on being almost as verbose as Chuck.

We were a little slim on participants this time, but we got some excellent work.  I want to thank the four of you for being a part of this.  Let's see a little more participation on the next one. (Coming soon)

Random.org has given us their answer.  Here are the trading partners:

Carrie Bradfield <> Guy Bratt
Robert Harper <> Dirk Hoogendoorn

PM your partner with your mailing address.  Hopefully they will all get mailed this week.  Be sure to post when you send and again when you receive your package.

Sure wish I could have gotten into this C&T.  But alas, life keeps getting in the way.  On my way home now to get the chain saw.  Have a hollow tree butt on the ground waiting for me to cut up and get home out of the weather.  Some vases and a couple of bowls/plates to be made out of it.
Later folks.

Thank you Jim for setting up this challenge and trade. It was very interesting to get into. The process of coming up with an idea for design and wood along with the challenge itself was a really good experience.  smiley=dankk2.gif smiley=dankk2.gif

Dirk's is on its way. It may take a while, traveling by snail mail but it should get there.

I love these because it forces you to expand your turning and you get to see what someone else does. Great for building skills and getting inspiration.

With the ongoing shop renovation I haven't turned anything in over a month.  I did not quite have the willpower to NOT try out my new toy, though, so Sunday evening I cobbled together a temporary outlet so I could plug it in and put a chunk of wood on it to try it out.  The piece turned out okay and I brought in the house and went to bed.  Last night after I got home from work I was reading the forum and it occurred to me that the piece I turned was a square platter and I could have jumped in to the C&T at the last minute.  Duh!

Bob, I'm sure we'd all love for you to show your work anyway. No worries, you can practice on the new baby and hit the next one.

I returned from the store this afternoon and a box with a smile was looking at me.  Hmmmm?  What did we order from Amazon?  Upon closer observation I discovered it was from Carrie.  Beautifull piece Carrie.  I don't have many pieces from other turners.  I'm so happy to have yours.
Thank you.
