Box shipped from the post office first class.

Hard to tell how long it will take from Alaska.

I did get a base and hanger through quality assurance and included in the box.

Should I post the tracking number?

USPS normally shows packages lost in Kent Washington until 4 days after delivery anyway.

Its Christmas! How did you guys manage that. I came home to not one, not two, but all three trades. The only problem is that I now feel so stupid because all I sent were the trades and forgot to send a note or a card and I can't remember who got two of the ornaments.

To Yvon Morin. Wow now that's an ornament. A little big but it looks nice next to the others and thanks for the wonderful pen. I've made one that I gave to my wife and haven't made another, yet.

To John Lawson. Thanks for the cute birdhouse. It has taken its place along the other ornaments I've set aside as keepers and the ones I've gotten in other trades. I thought you'd sent me a lump of coal because the box felt like a brick. Then I find you've also sent some extra bits of your tornillo! Thanks so much.

To Kathy Jekel. The photo didn't do your ornament justice at all. Lovely piece! Thanks for the card too. My first Christmas card for the season and its on the mantel so I can get a little cheer every time I walk by.

Thank you all so much and it was fun.

You're welcome!  I was trying to make the box "bullet-proof" and include something useful at the same time.  And there is no such thing as too much tape.  I did rather enjoy imagining your spontaneous reaction when you first picked up the box.  Note that I also put the ornament in a zip-lock bag, just in case the letter carrier dropped it in a puddle...

Everyone used a lot of tape. I thought you all must be related.  Grin

I love these challenges and trades. It is so fun to see what others do. Thanks all.

You are very welcome Robert.  I guess sending the card is my Southern Hospitality coming through. I lived in August Georgia as a child and had to go to finishing school!! Wish they sent young ladies to that now we'd have a lot more manners in our society.  I hope you and your family have a wonderful Christmas and a Happy New Year!

I think a lot of people could use finishing school. We wouldn't need all that PC stuff if they did.

You and yours have a great holiday season too. Happy turning.

Box came from Robert Harper.

Well well wrapped ornament with very nice detailing on the finials.

The top finial is signed (neatly -- a task that eludes me) -  very nice touch.

Will take an 8 inch ornament holder --  time to get some ornament stand bases turned.

Thank you Sir!!!!

You're most welcome sir. Sorry I didn't make a vase for you or send you a wonderful card. No excuses other than I sometimes forget things. OK mostly I forget things. I even have a bunch of cards I need to use up.

May you and yours have a most excellent holiday season and turn safe but turn often.

I got home from work to find a little package in my mailbox.  Dirk's picture doesn't do it justice.  My better half already appropriated it for her "special" tree.  He included a humorous note and a poem with it.

BTW, Dirk never said he was a poet.  Shocked Shocked

A box from Alaska arrived today!  Thanks, Ken!  Very attractive, and with a stand!  My wife likes it also.  What better seal of approval could you ask for?
