Was at Michaels' last nite in my area with the wife.  Item #240090 was only $5.00.  Note these are like the ones mentioned above with the plastic sleeve and small screw in the bottom.  I have had good success in squeezing the plastic sleeve around the top which breaks the glue seal and the plastic sleeve slides right off.  Got some last year after Xmas on close out for $2.99

I've not seen them at the Michael's in my area but that is a fantastic deal.

Good looking "Alaska Shot Glass" --I know a few who would consider it such.

I think Malcolm Tibbits has a reprint on his web site called.  He calls his it "lamination trickery".

Multimedia File Viewing and Clickable Links are available for Registered Members only!!  You need to Login or Register The link to Tibbits' PDF.

You can also find the instructions on the WoodCraft instructions here. Multimedia File Viewing and Clickable Links are available for Registered Members only!!  You need to Login or Register

Between the two, I'm not sure I need to make a tutorial but if you still would like one, let me know and I'll work one up when time permits.

Robert I bought a bunch of plastic mugs from Hobby Lobby for $2.97. Cut the plastic off the SS insert and it is basically the same as the $10 inserts. I have made aroud a half dozen and I have used one all summer with no problems.

By the way that is a good looking mug. I think being a first that would be for you.

I've made the mugs before but this is the second one that was segmented. I made two for my kids a couple years ago out of a cedar 4X4 and one from some figured box elder about a month ago.

I've looked at Hobby Lobby but haven't seen any at my local store.

I'd like to know what makes Rockler's so special at $18 and why charge for instructions that are free all over the place?
