Introducing-Junior

Good news, I used up some scraps, bad news smaller is not faster. I posted Big Brother this past summer and then started Junior. It has 1710 pieces plus 1 for the bottom. Average wall thickness is less than 1/8 inch. Big Brother is 23 1/2 inches tall Junior is 3 1/2 inches tall. I've always been crazy, it keeps me from going out of my mind! Comments welcome.

I almost didn't post this project at all, to my eye the sides of Junior are too straight, I know what I did wrong. Hope to correct it on next minature.

I think the straighter sides look better. More classic Grecian style.

Nice job but I agree with the others, a bit loopy. Grin

I can use another jig that I can cut strips down to 1/32 of an inch thick. They are the only way you can make these and keep all your fingers. With these two jigs I can do 75% of what I need.

#2 pic, (how do I attach multiple pics to one thread) anyway, this is a split ring, if it was a solid wood ring the next step is to glue this ring to a waste block and mount it in a chuck. Part off rings around 1/8 inch thick and transfer to your work piece. (had to re-write ths 4 times hope it is clear, need to get back on my meds Wink

That is so far beyond what my limited supply of patience could handle...

When you attach more than one photo, find the word "Attachments" with a plus sign next to it on the Reply screen. Click the plus sign and you'll get the fields to to attach up to four photos. Don't preview or the attachments will be lost and you'll have to redo them.
