If this is in the wrong place I apologize and please move to the appropriate area, but had to brag on my grandson. He made this as a project at school. Smiley Smiley

Gary, when I was shown it, it made me really proud of his efforts.

Len, I never knew much about this stuff so for me to see his work I was really impressed.

Very good.  I attended a free band saw box demonstration once.  They would be so much fun to make.  The one thing I realized from that demonstration is that my ShopSmith band saw is not enough machine to do any of any size what so ever.  What I can see looks like the lad did a fantastic job.  I love it.
Cool

Dirk,

That looks fantastic!

I assume from the wood joints it is about 8 inches deep, 10 inches high and about 16 inches long? (Or 200 d, 250 h and 450 long)  Is that about right?

Congrats! smiley=thumbsup.gif

Tell your grandson great job.  It's nice to see the youngers doing more with their hands than texting or gameplaying.

Beautiful piece.  That could be a great family heirloom to pass down from one generation to the next.  Tell your grandson he did a fantastic job and should be very proud of his work!

You should be proud of him that is a great bandsaw box. I used to make them but they take so much time to sand I just got away from them.  smilies=bowdown
